Could new blood storage method help cancer patients feel better?
NCT ID NCT06685848
Summary
This study is testing whether red blood cells stored with a special low-oxygen method work as well as standard blood for patients with blood cancers who need regular transfusions. About 24 participants will receive both types of blood in a crossover design to compare effectiveness and safety. The main goal is to see if patients need the same number of transfusions with the new method, while also checking blood counts, quality of life, and side effects.
