New eye drop trial targets common, irritating eyelid condition

NCT ID NCT06720896

Summary

This study is testing a new eye drop treatment called APT-001 for people with blepharitis, a condition that causes red, irritated, and crusty eyelids. About 100 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real treatment or a control substance (with no active drug) for 43 days to see which is better at clearing symptoms and is safe. The main goal is to see if the treatment can cure the crusty buildup (collarettes) on the eyelids.
