New 'Powder' treatment aims to stop dangerous internal bleeding faster

Summary
This study is testing whether a new medical powder spray is as good as or better than current standard treatments at stopping severe, non-variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding. The trial will involve 278 adults who come to the hospital with active bleeding from sources like ulcers or tumors. Researchers will compare the new powder, called UI-EWD (Nexpowder™), to conventional endoscopic therapies to see which one is more effective at controlling bleeding and preventing it from restarting.
