New balloon aims to fix Re-Blocked heart stents without adding more metal

Summary
This study is testing a new type of drug-coated balloon to treat arteries that have narrowed again after a previous stent placement, a condition called in-stent restenosis. About 418 participants with this condition will be randomly assigned to receive either the new balloon treatment or a standard treatment, which is usually another stent. The main goal is to see if the new balloon is at least as safe and effective as the standard treatments at preventing the treated area from failing again within one year.
