Medical balloon trial aims to keep dialysis Patients' lifelines open
NCT ID NCT07330817
Summary
This study is testing a new, high-pressure medical balloon designed to open narrowed sections of blood vessels in dialysis patients' access sites (called arteriovenous fistulas). The goal is to see if the balloon is safe and effective at repairing these blockages, which are common and can prevent successful dialysis. The study will enroll 35 patients to monitor how well the procedure works and if the repaired vessels stay open over time.
