Tiny balloon coated with two drugs aims to keep heart arteries open

NCT ID NCT07368933

Summary

This study is testing a new type of balloon catheter coated with two medications. It is designed to be inflated inside a narrowed heart artery to reopen it and deliver drugs to the artery wall. The goal is to see if this device is safe and works well for treating arteries that have narrowed again after a previous stent, as well as for new, small blockages. The study will enroll about 30 adults with symptomatic coronary artery disease.
