Zapping heart veins: new device trial aims to control irregular heartbeat

NCT ID NCT05572047

Summary

This study is testing the safety and effectiveness of a new medical device called the Arga Medtech CSE Ablation System. It uses electrical pulses to create scar tissue that blocks the faulty electrical signals causing atrial fibrillation (AFib). The study involves 25 patients whose AFib wasn't controlled by medication, and it checks if the treatment successfully isolates the heart's pulmonary veins and reduces AFib episodes over a year.
