New antibody drug tested in fight against sudden, severe lung failure

NCT ID NCT05938036

Summary

This study is testing a new antibody drug called ALT-100 in hospitalized adults with moderate to severe Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), a life-threatening form of lung failure. The main goals are to see if the drug is safe and if it can help patients breathe without a ventilator sooner and leave the hospital faster. Participants receive a single dose of the drug or a placebo within hours of their ARDS diagnosis.
