New hope to stop wasting away during cervical cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT07338487

Summary

This study is testing whether a new form of an appetite-stimulating drug can help women with advanced cervical cancer maintain their weight and strength during combined chemotherapy and radiation treatment. The drug aims to break the cycle of severe weight loss and muscle wasting that often occurs, which can make treatment harder to tolerate and reduce survival chances. Researchers will compare women receiving the new drug alongside standard treatment to those receiving standard treatment alone.
