New Nano-Drug aims to stop cancer wasting syndrome
NCT ID NCT07408505
Summary
This study is testing whether a special nano-formulated version of an existing appetite drug (megestrol acetate) can help people with advanced pancreatic cancer gain weight and feel better. It will involve 56 patients who are about to start standard chemotherapy. Half will receive the appetite drug alongside their chemo, while the other half will receive chemo alone, to see if the drug improves weight, appetite, and quality of life.
