NCT ID NCT04886284
Summary
This study is testing if adding a second antibiotic called ertapenem to the standard treatment (cefazolin) works better for adults with a serious Staphylococcus aureus blood infection. The goal is to help patients clear the infection from their blood faster, which could improve survival. This is a Phase 2 trial enrolling 60 participants to see if this combination is safe and effective.
