Double-Duty antibiotics: can a powerful combo beat dangerous infections faster?

NCT ID NCT07063095

Summary

This study is testing if adding a second antibiotic, called fosfomycin, to the standard treatment helps hospitalized adults with severe bacterial infections recover more quickly. Researchers will compare the two-drug combination against the standard single antibiotic to see if it leads to faster improvement in vital signs and reduces inflammation. The goal is to find a more effective treatment for serious infections like sepsis.
