New drug aims to put patients to sleep for surgery as effectively as standard anesthesia
NCT ID NCT05486416
Summary
This study tested if a new drug called HSK3486 works as well as the standard drug propofol for putting adults to sleep before elective surgery. 465 adults scheduled for surgery were randomly given either the new drug or propofol in a blinded study. The main goal was to see if HSK3486 was just as good at successfully inducing anesthesia without needing extra rescue medications.
