New sedative promises smoother, safer surgery for seniors

NCT ID NCT06690424

Summary

This study is testing a newer anesthesia drug called remimazolam in older patients having thyroid surgery. Researchers want to see if it provides a smoother, more stable sedation during surgery and a quicker, more comfortable recovery afterward. They will compare it to a commonly used drug (propofol) in 60 patients aged 60-75.
