Five-Drug attack on blood cancer launches in clinical trial

Summary

This study is testing a new combination of five existing drugs as the first treatment for adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a fast-growing blood cancer. The goal is to see if this intensive regimen is safe and effective at putting the cancer into remission. The trial will enroll 48 patients who have not yet received any treatment for their AML and are healthy enough for strong chemotherapy.
