Summary

This trial is testing whether adding two targeted drugs, midostaurin and gemtuzumab ozogamicin, to standard chemotherapy can better control a type of blood cancer called acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It is for adults newly diagnosed with AML who have specific genetic markers. The main goals are to find a safe dose for the drug combination and to see if it helps keep the cancer from coming back longer than current treatments.
