New hope for older leukemia patients: trial tests drug combo to extend life

Summary
This study is testing if adding an experimental drug called cusatuzumab to a standard two-drug treatment helps people with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) live longer. It is for adults who are not healthy enough for strong chemotherapy. About 120 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard two drugs or the standard two drugs plus cusatuzumab.
