New shot targets root cause of hay fever misery
NCT ID NCT06300203
Summary
This study is testing a new antibody injection for people with seasonal allergies (like hay fever) whose symptoms are not well controlled by their current treatments. The injection works by blocking a specific protein (IL-4Rα) involved in the allergic reaction. About 120 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the new injection or a placebo (dummy shot) to compare safety and how well it reduces allergy symptoms like sneezing and a runny nose.
