Two-for-One heart zap tested to stop AFib Flare-Ups

NCT ID NCT07171463

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a second type of targeted energy to a newer heart procedure works better to control a common irregular heartbeat called paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AFib). Researchers will compare the standard pulsed-field ablation procedure to a combined approach that also uses heat on a specific nerve area. The goal is to see if the combination reduces how often the AFib returns and prevents slow heart rhythms during the procedure itself.
