One-Shot heart rhythm fix? new drug trial aims to calm chaotic heartbeats.

NCT ID NCT04680026

Summary

This study is testing a new drug called HBI-3000, given as a single 30-minute IV infusion, to see if it can safely and effectively restore a normal heart rhythm in people who have recently developed atrial fibrillation (AF). The trial has two parts: first, to find the best dose, and second, to compare the drug against a placebo. It aims to help patients avoid more invasive procedures to correct their heart rhythm.
