Breakthrough heart procedure tested in first human patients

NCT ID NCT06452589

Summary

This first-in-human study is testing a new medical device called the FieldForce Ablation System for treating atrial fibrillation, a common heart rhythm disorder. The trial will enroll 40 patients to see if this new pulsed field ablation technology is safe and can effectively isolate problematic heart tissue. Unlike traditional heat-based methods, this approach uses electrical pulses to target cells while potentially reducing damage to surrounding areas.
