First human test for potential genetic kidney disease treatment begins

Summary
This is the first study in people to test the safety of a new drug called PYC-003. It aims to see how the body handles the drug and if it is safe for healthy adults and for adults with a specific genetic form of polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). The study will give the drug as an IV infusion to small groups of people, starting with single doses and then testing multiple doses over several weeks.
