New ACL repair technique challenges standard surgery

NCT ID NCT02664545

Summary

This study compares a new surgical method called Bridge-Enhanced ACL Repair (BEAR) against the current standard ACL reconstruction surgery. It involves 100 young patients (ages 14-35) with recent ACL tears to see if the new repair technique works as well as reconstruction. Researchers will measure knee stability, function, and recovery over 10 years to determine which approach provides better long-term results.
