Summary
This study is testing a new vaccine designed to protect infants and young children against 24 different strains of pneumococcal bacteria, which can cause serious infections like pneumonia and meningitis. The main goal is to see if the vaccine is safe and if it triggers a strong protective immune response in the children. Researchers will enroll 480 healthy children, from 6 weeks to 71 months old, who have not received any other pneumococcal vaccine.
