Brain zaps tested to ease Autism's social struggles

NCT ID NCT05371912

Summary

This small, completed pilot study explored whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique could help improve social skills and thinking in people with autism. Sixteen participants received magnetic stimulation to specific brain areas thought to be involved in social understanding. Researchers measured changes in social behavior, repetitive behaviors, and cognitive tasks to see if the treatment showed promise.
