New High-Tech wire could make brain aneurysm surgery safer

Summary

This study tests a new, remotely controlled guidewire called SmartGUIDE for treating unruptured brain aneurysms. The wire is designed to navigate blood vessels more easily without needing to be shaped by hand. Researchers will compare its safety and performance to standard guidewires in 30 adults.
