First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested two non-drug treatments for dysphoria, a feeling of deep unease or dissatisfaction that can occur with mood disorders or chronic pain. The treatments were guided meditation using virtual reality (VR) and a fast form of brain stimulation called accelerated TMS. Researchers wanted to see if these approaches were practical, well-tolerated, and helpful for adults with moderate to severe symptoms.
