What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could help doctors spot brain and nerve problems early in children with IBD, leading to better care.
What could go wrong
This is a small, observational study that hasn't started yet. It only looks for problems, not treatments, so direct benefits are limited.
