Stretching secrets revealed: ultrasound shows how nerves react
NCT ID NCT07304765
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at how two types of nerve stretches—called flossing and tensioning—affect the stiffness of the sciatic nerve and hamstring muscles. Twenty-one healthy, active adults without recent injuries took part. Researchers used a special ultrasound to measure tissue stiffness right after each stretch. The goal was to understand the immediate effects, not to treat any condition.
