New hope for tough childhood cancers: first trial of Triple-Drug attack

NCT ID NCT02298348

Summary

This study is testing a new combination of three drugs for children and young adults whose neuroblastoma has returned or hasn't responded to standard treatments. The main goal is to find the highest dose of a drug called sorafenib that can be safely added to two other chemotherapy drugs. This is the first step to see if this three-drug approach is safe and could be more effective against this aggressive childhood cancer.
