Mind over matter: MIT tests bionic legs controlled by thought

NCT ID NCT07204912

Summary

MIT researchers are testing a new bionic leg that users control with their thoughts. The study involves 10 adults with above-knee amputations who will try walking with this advanced prosthetic during everyday activities like walking and climbing stairs. Researchers will compare how this mind-controlled leg performs against participants' regular prosthetics to see if it feels more natural and improves movement.
