Ultrasound may unlock clues to rare nerve disorders
NCT ID NCT07365631
First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a simple ultrasound can help doctors tell the difference between inherited and acquired forms of a rare nerve disease called sensory neuronopathy. Researchers will review medical records and ultrasound images from 50 adults to compare nerve size in both groups. If successful, this could lead to faster diagnosis and earlier treatment for patients with the acquired form.
