Scientists test needle vs. patch nerve stimulation
NCT ID NCT07247721
Summary
This study compares two methods of electrical nerve stimulation to see how they affect pain sensitivity and muscle strength. Researchers are testing a non-invasive skin patch method (TENS) against a minimally invasive needle method (PENS) in 120 healthy volunteers. The goal is to understand which approach creates stronger effects on nerves, which could help guide future pain treatment decisions.
