Implanted device zaps nerves to fight debilitating headaches

NCT ID NCT07113470

Summary

This study is testing whether a small implanted device that stimulates nerves in the head and neck can safely help prevent chronic cluster headaches. It's for adults with severe, long-term cluster headaches who haven't gotten enough relief from the standard medication verapamil. The device, called PRIMUS, is designed to target two nerve groups simultaneously to potentially reduce headache frequency and severity.
