Zap your back pain? new device trial offers hope for chronic sufferers

NCT ID NCT07166952

Summary

This study is testing whether a temporary, minimally invasive nerve stimulation device can safely and effectively reduce chronic lower back pain that comes from the sacroiliac joint. It will involve 10 adults who have not found relief from standard treatments like physical therapy or medication. Researchers will implant a small wire for a short period to deliver electrical pulses to specific nerves, aiming to provide long-lasting pain relief even after the device is removed.
