First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests a surgically implanted device that sends mild electrical pulses to nerves, aiming to reduce persistent pain in people who have had a leg amputation. About 32 adults who still have moderate to severe pain after prior nerve surgeries will receive the device and be followed for up to a year. Researchers will measure changes in pain levels, mood, and how well participants can use their prosthetic limb.
