Summary

This early-stage study tested a new dye called Illuminare-1 that makes nerves glow during prostate cancer surgery. The goal was to help surgeons avoid damaging nerves, which can cause side effects like incontinence and erectile dysfunction. 41 men undergoing prostate removal took part, and the study focused on finding a safe dose that lights up nerves without causing serious side effects.
