Zapping vs. injecting: which works better for mysterious thigh pain?
NCT ID NCT06683924
Summary
This study compared two procedures for treating meralgia paresthetica, a condition that causes pain, tingling, and numbness in the outer thigh. Researchers tested whether a pulsed radiofrequency treatment (a type of nerve zapping) worked better or longer than steroid injections for 22 patients whose symptoms didn't improve with basic care. The goal was to see which method provided better and longer-lasting pain relief for this specific nerve problem.
