New nerve monitor could make spine surgery safer

Summary
This study tested a new device that monitors nerves during TLIF spine surgery. Five adults having surgery on their lower back took part. The goal was to see if the new device works as well as or better than standard monitors to alert the surgeon if a nerve is irritated, helping prevent injury.
