Wrist artery procedure: is nerve damage a hidden risk?
NCT ID NCT06925256
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study will check if doing a heart procedure through the wrist artery can hurt nearby nerves. About 100 adults will get nerve tests before and after the procedure. The goal is to find out how often nerve injury happens and how serious it is.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If this study finds that nerve injury is rare, it could support the safety of using the wrist artery for heart procedures.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early observational study, not a treatment trial. It only measures nerve function and cannot prove cause or predict long-term risks.
