New nerve block technique tested to reduce pain pills after shoulder surgery

NCT ID NCT05788367

Summary

This study compared two different nerve-blocking injections for pain relief after shoulder surgery. Researchers tested a newer 'pericapsular' block against a standard 'interscalene' block in 44 patients. The goal was to see which method better controls pain and reduces the need for opioid painkillers after the procedure.
