Summary
This small pilot study aims to see if it's practical to run a larger trial testing a pain-blocking injection before surgery. The injection, called a nerve block, is given to older adults with broken legs to numb the area. Researchers want to know if this common pain control method might also help patients recover faster with fewer complications, as seen in similar hip fracture studies.
