Researchers map hidden path of knee surgery painkiller

Summary

This study aims to understand how often a standard pain-blocking injection for knee surgery also numbs parts of the sciatic nerve. Researchers will observe 70 adults having knee surgery to measure the spread of the numbing medication. The goal is to gather better information to improve pain management techniques for future patients.
