Scientists seek 'Goldilocks' dose for knee surgery pain relief

NCT ID NCT07366905

Summary

This study aims to find the most effective dose of a special, long-lasting numbing medicine (liposomal bupivacaine) for a nerve block in the thigh. The goal is to provide pain relief after knee surgery while trying to minimize leg weakness. Researchers will test different doses on 60 adults having planned lower limb surgery to see which concentration best blocks pain and which best affects muscle strength.
