Can a simple nerve block protect kidneys during cancer surgery?
NCT ID NCT07297433
Summary
This study aims to understand if a specific pain-blocking injection, given before laparoscopic colon cancer surgery, helps protect the kidneys. Researchers will compare 60 patients who receive the block to those who do not, monitoring kidney blood flow during surgery and kidney function afterward. The goal is to gather knowledge about how this common procedure might influence a patient's recovery and kidney health.
