First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether a numbing injection near the ear nerve can prevent agitation and confusion in children waking up from middle ear surgery. About 74 children aged 5 to 14 will receive either the nerve block or a placebo, and researchers will measure their calmness and pain levels after surgery. The goal is to find a simple way to make recovery smoother for young patients.
