First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests a nerve block called the erector spinae plane block (ESPB) to relieve severe abdominal pain in people with gastrointestinal cancer who visit the emergency room. Researchers will compare opioid use and hospital stay length between those receiving the block and similar patients who got standard care. The goal is to see if this approach reduces pain and reliance on opioids.
