Nerve block may soothe kids after ear surgery

Summary

This study tests whether a numbing injection near the ear nerve can prevent confusion and agitation in children waking up from ear surgery. About 74 kids aged 5 to 14 will be randomly assigned to receive the nerve block or a placebo. The goal is to see if this simple procedure leads to a calmer, safer recovery.
