Calming the chaos: new approach to soothe kids after surgery

NCT ID NCT07435675

Summary

This study is testing if a precise numbing injection near the ear can help prevent children from becoming agitated and distressed when they wake up from anesthesia after middle ear surgery. Researchers will compare children who receive the nerve block to those who do not, measuring their agitation, pain, and recovery time. The goal is to find a safe way to make recovery from this common surgery calmer and more comfortable for young patients.
