Zapping heart nerves to stop chest pain spasms

NCT ID NCT06992830

Summary

This study is testing whether a procedure called cardioneuroablation can help people with a specific type of chest pain called variant angina. The procedure uses a catheter to target small clusters of nerves on the heart's surface, aiming to reduce the abnormal nerve signals that cause painful coronary artery spasms. It is being explored for patients whose chest pain continues despite standard medications or who cannot tolerate those drugs.
